Leonard Lyons has successfully completed projects in numerous well known landmark buildings.
Dunnes Stores Patrick Street Cork City
An anti fungal solution was applied to walls here and completely power washed prior to works.
Remmers rubber based paints used throughout the exterior and all specific primers relating to this product prior to painting
Particular attention was paid to the burning off of existing mouldings/features on front facade.
We also carried out all sign writing visible on this project.
Belvelly Castle Cobh
We totally redecorated this project top to bottom in tandem with architects and clients wishes.
All breathable coatings on internal castle walls and low VOC coatings on all woodwork to achive the excellent finishes throughout.All new oak was either aged using specific oils to colourwashed ceilings.
We also retain a maintenance project here.
Lismore Castle Waterford
This is on ongoing project to totally deconstruct an existing origional greenhouse and renew using old and new materials.
We are using a Swedish linseed oil paint here which is to be heated before use.
No machine sanders of any kind or chemical strippers used in this project.
All works carried out by hand.
Fota House
We have previously worked internally here renewing the entrance lobby using clay based paints on all walls and flat finishes on all timbers visible to the many visitors each year.
Bishops Palace Cobh
Here we again treated the structure with an anti fungal solution and soft washed the building.
We used materials made and sourced in cork that were a clay based paint as the render was a lime render and needed to be completely breathable when finished.
The results are for all to see on a visit to this historic town.
Old AIB/Provisional Irish Bank
As you can see from the photos here the time consuming laborious work that went into this project to start anew was extensive. This included burning off a lot of the old paint film.
After all appropriate preparation and sealers were applied we eventually finished this job in a pliolite based paint system as it was October at time of painting and this helped us with the drying/curing time of the paint film.
